First Bank Online Transfer: How To Transfer Money

This blog post contains my experience with first Bank online transfer like their internet or online banking, moneygram and western union.

First bank online transfer is a process or a method through which you can transfer or send money and also receive money through first bank Nigeria. It is of four methods, first bank online banking, moneygram, western union, ria online tranfer and Transfast.  And currently I’ve tried the online banking, western union and moneygram and yet to try the ria money transfer though it seems to be popular right now.

First Bank online transfer through internet banking

First Bank Online TransferAs we are in modern banking, transaction have gotten easy and better right now especially with the introduction of internet banking and mobile banking. There are some limits on the amount you can transfer using the mobile bank but with internet Bank, the amount is higher. In some banks, the highest amount you can transfer to someone through mobile banking is N300,000 – N500,000 per day while the internet banking is up to one million per day.

This is why some people prefer to go through online like the first bank online transfer. Internet banking is applicable to all first bank customers with savings and current account and you can enroll in any of their branches nation wide.

Or better still sign up for through their internet banking page even though you still have to go to the bank to finalize it. First bank online banking not only gives you the ability to transfer money but you can also;

You will have to provide you account number and you other details like name, address, mother’s median name, bvn number etc. After you are done you need to go to any first bank branch and finalize it. Afterwards you can login to your first bank online banking account, change your password to the a strong one and you are good to go.

After successfully enrolling for first bank Nigeria internet banking, what is left for you is to begin to transact business with it like the first bank online transfer. To transfer money online with first Bank, Login to their internet banking page, click the option menu and select transfer funds/money. You have to follow-up the instruction and send money to the preferred bank. For first bank internet banking, the limit is now one million per day.

  • Transfer Reference Number
  • Expected Amount
  • Acceptable means of identification (see Required  Documents)
  • Sender’s name and country (city to be included for transfers coming from the US)
  • Test Question and Answer (optional)
  • Fully completed  form

Requirements for Sending Money on MoneyGram through First Bank

  • Sender’s name, Phone number, address
  • The receiver’s name and country
  • Amount in Naira
  • Acceptable means of identification (see required documents)
  • Test Question and Answer, where applicable
  • A maximum send limit of 1,000USD Naira equivalent per customer per quarter, as stipulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

You’ve got to know that this is based on online transfer and if you want to use first bank online transfer through moneygram, just head straight to any branch near you, meet with the customer service and speak with him or her. Within few minutes and if you meet up with the necessary requirements like the above, you are good to go. You can send or receive money especially from abroad.

First Bank online transfer through Western Union

First Bank Online TransferWestern union is my favorite way in receiving money from abroad through my first bank account. Moneygram is very good but i prefer western union maybe because of their quick services or customer care. But i confess that i’ve not tried to send money to abroad through western union but ive received money many times through them.

Benefits of using Western Union

  1. You can send or receive your remittances from any of our branches in Nigeria
  2. Customers can pick or send their transfers from Mondays through Fridays nationwide and from selected locations on weekends
  3. Transfer is available to receiver immediately the sender concludes the transaction
  4. Receiver does not pay any fee.

Requirements for receiving Money though Western Union

  1. The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)
  2. Expected Amount
  3. Acceptable means of identification (see Required documents)
  4. The receiver’s name, address and phone numbers
  5. Sender’s name and country (city to be included for transfers coming from the US and Mexico)
  6. Test Question and Answer where applicable.

Requirements for Sending Money on Western Union

  1. Sender’s name, Phone number, address
  2. The receiver’s name and country
  3. Amount in Naira
  4. Acceptable means of identification (see Required Documents)
  5. Sender must have a FirstBank account or be identified by an account holder
  6. Test Question and Answer where applicable
  7. A maximum send limit of 1,000USD Naira equivalent per customer per quarter, as stipulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Like the moneygram online money transfer, everyone is eligible as long as you are up to 18yrs and above.

First Bank online transfer through Ria

First Bank Online TransferYou may be hearing about western union and moneygram, but i tell you that ria money transfer is undoubtedly the best in this world. I can’t tell if they are very good with first Bank online transfer, but in Europe and America ria money transfer is the best as long as it is online transfer.

With the listed ways or method through which you can transfer or recieve money online through first bank online transfer, i prefer using the internet banking to transfer money from my bank account to another bank right here in Nigeria. But if it is to recieve money from abroad, first is western union, second is moneygram and then ria money transfer. I’m yet to use the Transfast so i can’t say much about it.
